The Electoral Act 2026 replaces the 2022 Act. It covers registration, voting, counting, collation, election expenses and offences. Polling-unit results must be transmitted electronically to IReV. Where communication failure makes transmission impossible, section 60(3) specifies the signed paper Form EC8A as the primary source for collation and declaration.
